Dynamic Composition - Directing the Eye

đź”· Master the visual rhythm that grips the eye. In this dynamic session, fine artist Keith Bond breaks down what makes a painting truly compelling—showing you how to orchestrate shape, value, motion and flow into powerful compositions. Introduced by David Baral, who also fields live questions, this presentation explores how great compositions grab attention and pull you in.

You’ll learn how to:

🎯 Command the viewer’s eye from the first glance—learn how to place anchor points and move the gaze with intention

🌀 Build motion and tension through value and shape grouping—so your paintings feel alive, not static

🧩 Balance chaos and clarity—manage multiple elements without losing focus or clarity

🌟 Elevate your work from “pretty picture” to “visual force”—composition becomes a storytelling tool

Perfect for intermediate to advanced artists who want to move beyond making nice paintings and start creating images that pull the viewer in—and hold their attention. Runtime: 30+ mins
